A Registered Migration Agent
When you choose a Migration Agent, make sure you choose a registered one.
In Australia, it is illegal to practice as a migration agent without registering
with the Australian Migration Agents' Registration Authority (MARA). A registered
migration agent must passed stringent tests on Immigration laws, possesses good
personal characters and complies with the code of conduct set by MARA.
While it is optional to use a migration agent, there are certainly benefits
from using one, which includes:
- Professional guidance and advice on procedural matters
- Unnecessary delay due to lack of understanding of application requirements; and
- Improve your chance of a successful outcome of your application.
